Nine days novena begins in preparation for the Annual Feast of Padre Pio
Shrine, Bejai, Mangalore.
In view of the Annual Feast of Padre Pio, the nine days novena devotion
was inaugurated with the Flag - hoisting ceremony on 9th October 2020 at
5.30pm at the Padre Pio Shrine, St Anne's Friary - Bejai, Mangalore.
Fr Royson Fernandes, the editor of Uzwad magazine of Udupi Diocese
conducted the inaugural ceremony and our corporator Mr Lancylot hoisted
the Padre Pio flag.
On this blessed occasion the new Konkani book on the life of St Padre
Pio that was translated and written by Fr Roshan Menezes Capuchin, the
Episcopal Vicar for the religious in Udupi Diocese was released by the
Daijiworld media head Mr Walter Nandalike. Mr Lancylot and Mr Walter
conveyed their good wishes for the success of this blessed and holy
event.
The inaugural Eucharistic celebration on the theme ‘Padre Pio and the
Holy Catholic Church’ was presided over by Fr Royson and concelebrated
by Frs Roshan, Lancy and John.
The grand annual feast of Padre Pio will be celebrated on 18th October
2020 at 5.30.
