Inauguration of
Divine mercy Novena at Divine Mercy Retreat Centre, Capuchins, Bejai
Mangaluru
The Divine Mercy novena was inaugurated at Divine Mercy Retreat Centre,
Bejai, Mangaluru on 5th April 2021 at 5.30 pm. Fr Prakash Colaco, Asst
editor of Sevak lead the flag hoisting ceremony. Fr Andrew Leo Dsouza,
the Parish Priest of St Lawrence Church, Bondel hoisted the flag of
Divine Mercy at the St Anne’s Friary Chapel premise.
Every year Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday. So till Easter
Sunday three days of Novena was conducted virtually through the
Capuchins Mangalore YouTube Channel. Fr Andrew Leo Dsouza, the chief
celebrant of 4th day Novena and Mass, preached a heart touching Homily
on forgiveness.
Fr Richard Quadras, Animator of Divine Mercy Centre Bejai, Fr Roshn
Herald Dsouza, Fr Lancy, Fr John Fernandes and Fr Fredrick Rodrigues
graced this occasion by their gracious presence. On this occasion
Konkani Prayer cards of grace before meal an grace after meal written by
Fr Paul Melwyn Dsouza were inaugurated. These Prayer Cards will be
available at St Ann’s Frairy Parlour as well as Divine Mercy Retreat
Centre Bejai.
Divine Mercy Novena will be held till 10th of April and it will be
conducted by different well-known preachers on different themes. The
Divine Mercy feast will be celebrated on 11th April 2021 at 9.30 am. The
Theme will be ‘Kutmanth Mogaso Santos’. Bishop Emeritus Most Rev
Aloysius Paul Dsouza of Mangalore Diocese will be the chief celebrant.
