DAY 4 IN FOCUS OF THE
CHAPTER HOLY TRINITY PROVINCE, KARNATAKA X PROVINCIAL CHAPTER Bengaluru, April 24, 2025 – Day Four of the X Provincial Chapter of
the Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka, unfolded with a spirit of prayer,
fraternity, and focused deliberations.
The day commenced early with Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharist at
6:15 AM, presided over by Br John Baluku, Custos of St Charles Lwanga
Custody, Uganda. In his homily, Br John invited the brothers to embrace
the heart of true discipleship, drawing inspiration from the call to
follow Christ more closely in the Franciscan tradition.
By 8:30 AM, capitulars assembled in the Chapter Hall, where Br Joywin
Dias conducted the roll call, and the morning session was opened with
prayer.
On this occasion, the President of the Chapter Br Lawrence Soosainathan,
the Provincial Minister Br Robin Victor, and the Moderator Br Alban were
invited to guide the session, offering their insights and leadership.
Br Alban Dsouza took up the role of session moderator, guiding the house
with clarity and purpose.
The day featured important reports from international delegations:
- St Pio Delegation, Sri Lanka, presented by Br Frolic Fernandes,
Delegate Superior
- Delegation of Japan, presented by Br Maxim Dsouza, Delegate Superior
Following these presentations, Br Alban Dsouza offered instructions for
the day’s deliberations, urging the brothers to share concise, focused,
and impartial contributions. A substantial discussion then followed on
the Spiritual Life, with emphasis on personal and communal prayer, and
the Evangelical Counsels of Poverty, Obedience, and Chastity.
The 11:00 AM session was moderated by Br Anil D’Costa, who helped
navigate the reflections with a spirit of openness and fraternity.
Later, in the afternoon session at 4:30 PM, Br Rocky D’Cunha facilitated
a rich conversation on Fraternal Life, Vocation, and Formation—critical
pillars for nurturing a vibrant religious community.
The evening session at 6:00 PM continued with the same themes under the
moderation of Br Joseph Dolphy Pais.
A sincere word of gratitude was expressed to all the moderators for
their generous service and effective guidance throughout the day’s
proceedings.
The Chapter continues with further discernment and planning as the
Province journeys forward in the spirit of renewal and fraternity.
