Good Friday service at Saccidananda Good Friday service was conducted at Saccidananda to commemorate Jesus
Christ’s Passion, crucifixion and death. The service was officiated by Fr.
Deepak Fernandes, Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais and Fr. Robin Victor D’souza too
joined the service. The celebrant in his homily said, “On Calvary, Jesus
Preached his message more by action than by words. Just before he was
stripped of his last earthly possession his clothes. He died as he had been
born owing nothing in this earth. He went to face his father as every one of
us will face that same Father – God, naked, bereft of all earthly
possessions. He demonstrated to all who could see and understand that living
well does not depend on what a person has but on what he or she is”. Large
number of faithful participated in way of the Cross followed by Good Friday
ceremony.
