Divine Mercy Feast at Mangalore The feast of Divine Mercy was celebrated on 23rd April at 10.30am at
Divine Mercy Retreat Centre, St Anne’s Friary near Jail Road, Mangalore. For
the last 6 days, novenas were held on different themes on Sacraments as the
preparation for this feast.
The feast was celebrated in the Divine Mercy Retreat Hall with the presence
of around 2500 faithful including the priests and nuns. Prior to the
Eucharistic celebration, adoration was conducted lead by Fr Derick. The
Eucharist was celebrated presided over by Rev Fr Walter D’mello, the
Judicial Vicar of Mangalore Diocese. He preached a fitting homily and called
upon the faithful to be the mirrors of mercy after the example of Jesus
Christ. Mr. Joel Pereira led the choir and helped the faithful to pray
better. After the Eucharist sumptuous dinner was served to all the faithful.
