The final meeting of the Capuchin Education Board for the year 2017-18 was
held at Christalaya, Chikodi which is an esteemed mission centre of the Holy
Trinity Capuchin Province and also houses the reputed St Francis of Assisi
School.
The community of Christalaya hosted an outing on the previous day coupled a
demonstration of their mission at School and Social work centre. Later
during the day the members of CEB had a leisure time visiting the Gokak
Water Falls and the back waters of Hidkal Dam.
On Sunday the members met for a serious discussion on various issues of the
School management especially the Budget forecast for the year 2018-19.
Added to the usual deliberations, Fr. Maxim D’Silva, the manager of Assisi
Press, Mangalore addressed the CEB about the various printing jobs,
enlightening the members about the various issues regarding the priniting.
The CEB remains grateful to the community of Christalaya, Chikodi headed by
Fr Arun Lobo.
