Pastoral Visitation –
Dayalbagh Ashram, Ujire, Belthangady. The fraternity and the formation house at Dayalbagh Ashram Ujire had the
joy of Pastoral Visitation by the Provincial Minister, Br John Alwyn Dias
from 29-31 July 2023. The guardian of the fraternity Br Fedrick Braggs and
the community members along with the students warmly welcomed the Provincial
Minister and Provincial Secretary, Br Joywin Dias. The Pastoral Visitation
began with an introductory talk, thereafter, he sent the friars to discuss
in groups on the seven pillars of Capuchin religious life regarding the
strengths, weaknesses and scope for development with regard to spiritual
life, fraternal life and their ministry and apostolate. The provincial met
the friars and the student brothers personally. The following day the
Provincial offered the Holy Eucharist and prayed for the Community. In the
evening the Provincial held a dialogue with the community members where he
discussed and deliberated on life, ministry and formation of the brothers.
He also thanked the friars for their exemplary life and selfless service in
rendering Pastoral care and in the field of Social Work. On 31st of July
Provincial visited the Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra and the Daya Special
School, where he addressed the staff and expressed his gratitude towards the
teachers and staff for their selfless and dedicated service for the welfare
of poor. The Pastoral Visitation concluded with prayer and benediction.
