Independence Day Celebration
at Saccidananda The Community of Saccidananda celebrated glorious and auspicious
occasion of the 77th Independence Day of our Nation with great jubilation.
While thanking our Blessed mother Mary as we celebrated the solemnity of Her
Assumption, Fr Maxim D’Silva, presided over the Holy Eucharist and preached
a thoughtful homily. Thereafter along with the Saccidananda extended family
we gathered together to pay tribute to our nation and to the freedom
fighters who strived and sacrificed their lives for gaining the freedom. Fr.
John Alwyn Dias, the Provincial Minister, hoisted the tricolor flag and the
National Anthem was sung in unison expressing the joy of our freedom,
followed by an eloquent speech delivered by Br Royal, the regent.
