The Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee of Rev. Fr John Alwyn Dias, Provincial
Minister of Holy Trinity Capuchin Province Karnataka was celebrated on
Sunday, 21 January 2024. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was
officiated by the Provincial Minister and concelebrated by the Vicar
Provincial Br Paul Melwyn D’Souza, the Councillors and friars of the
Capuchin Communities in Bangalore and our neighboring religious communities.
Fr Robin Victor D’Souza preached a meaningful homily and spoke about the
significance and the responsibility of a Priest after the example of Jesus
the Good Shepherd. A melodious choir by the brothers of Deena Seva Ashram
increased the joy of the celebration. After the Mass, a short felicitation
program was held and a sweet cake was cut to mark the occasion. Br Salvadore
Fernandes raised the toast and spoke words of appreciation about Rev. Fr
John Alwyn Dias followed by the felicitation by the Vicar Provincial and the
Councillors. Thereafter the extended family of Saccidananda and the sisters
from the neighboring communities felicitated and extended their warm Jubilee
wishes to the Jubilarian. The Jubilee celebration programme concluded with a
fellowship meal.
