Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya Observed Vanamahotsava on 30-06-2017 The Chief guests
of the day were Rev Fr. William prabhu ( president) director at St clare
Vihar, Rev. Fr.Anthony Raj Parish priest, Sr.Martha Anugraha boarding
Incharge,SDMC President Mr.Soloman, Press reporters Mr.Nagaraj and Basavaraj.
The program started with a prayer dance and then chief guests were welcomed
to the stage. The chief guest Rev. Fr. Anthony raj shared his great thoughts
about Nature he said that nature is the another form of god. Further the day
took an opening with Dignitaries planting the saplings on the stage.
Students from class 5th, 7th and 9th with their speeches on Vanamahotsava
came forward. Students from class 10th Entertained all with their cultural
dance. Later students sang a beautiful song on nature. Students of 10th
standard Mary and Vijay gave slogans on trees, whole school house chanted
the slogans.
The president Rev. Fr. William Prabhu acknowledged our students about
Vanamahotsava he said if each student plants a tree in his / her
surroundings it would definitely lead to a massive environmental
conservation. The saplings were distributed by the dignitaries to the group
leaders and teachers .The saplings were successfully planted inside the
school campus under the guidance of the teacher. Rev. Fr. Dominic the
Headmaster gave the slogans on trees, the whole school being divided into
four houses actively chanted slogans. Eventually, the whole school under the
leadership of Headmaster and Teachers marched forward for a campaign to
spread awareness about Vanamahotsava and forest conservation. Two saplings
were planted at Government Hospital Pothnal, Dr. Ashwini from there gave a
message to the Students. She said that its more important to save the
existing trees than planting new ones.
