Diaconate @ Dharshan Institute of
Theology, Bangalore Diaconate is one of the oldest ministries of the Church. Diakonia
stands for service, rendered both by word and deed at the altar of
charity. It is the Lord who calls us first and we respond with freedom
and generosity. Dharshan Institute of Theology was resounding with joy
and happiness as our seven brothers were conferred to diaconate. His
grace most reverend Bishop Bernard Mores preceded over the Holy
Eucharist and preached a fitting homily on the challenges of Church
leaders. Many priests added beauty to the celebration as the church
echoes with the melodies choir of our brothers. Wishing our seven
deacons a fruitful ministry the celebrations came to an end.
