Father’s Day in St Clare Church, Akuluto - Nagaland
St Clare celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, 16th June 2024. Fr James
Furtado Asst Parish Priest in the homily, beautifully explained the role
of the father in the family and also advised the fathers not to get
attached to the substance abuse and other bad habits, rather to become
responsible fathers who can lead the family in a right direction.
Immediately after the mass a felicitation programme was held to honour
all the fathers of the community anchored by Ms Livika and all mothers
of the community. All the fathers were honoured with the gift given by
the mothers and children. Fr Stephen Dsouza the Parish Priest conducted
three games inroder to bring smiles on the faces of people. Thereafter a
cake was sliced by Fr Stephen and fathers of the community to mark
Father’s Day. The programme was concluded with the serving of tea and
snacks.
