Solemn Inauguration and Blessings of the Vimukti Social Work Centre
Capuchin Krishik Seva KendraŽ, Dayalbagh Rural Development Progamme, Vimukti Social Work Centre was inaugurated and blessed by his Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Lawrance Mukkuzhy, the Bishop of Diocese of Belthangady on 8th March 2011 at 10 am. It was a long dreamt dream of thousands of people and now that dream is being realized today. For nearly one and half decades Rural Integrated Development activities were being organized in the rented building. On this auspicious day Rev. Fr.Vincent Furtado, the Provincial Minister, Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka was present. The Chief Gusts Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, the Parish Priest of Ujire, Mr. Harish Kumar, local Congress Leader, Ms. Sumathi Bhat, the President, Vimukti SHG Federation, Rev. Fr. Chetan Lobo, the convenor of Vimukti Charitable Trust and other dignitaries were present. His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Lawrance appreciated the Dayalbagh Capuchin Fathers for their valuable and selfless service to the least ones of the society. He further quoted by saying that, “if a Village smiles the whole Capital Delhi will smile. That means if the villages are developed the whole India will develop. Fr. Chetan Lobo to mark the event released a magazine, “a voice of the voiceless”, a magazine dedicated to the deprived, vulnerable and excluded children of the society. He said that Children are beautiful flowers in the garden that owned by God. Fr.Vinod Mascarenhas, the Director of the Organization, in his speech said that if attitude of men and women are changed towards each other then definitely equality between them will become a reality. It should begin with inter change of profession and trade. Mr. Harish Kumar, local representative commended the humane service of the Dayalbagh Capuchin Fathers. Then Ms. Molly Vas was facilitated by the President, Fr.Vincent Furtado for being chosen as the best social worker in the Taluka by the Tuluverna kuta and JCCs. Ms. Sumathi Bhat expressed her joy and happiness over the completion of the beautiful and simple training and office premises. She was overjoyed and said henceforth we have a house of our own welfare where we and our children can train themselves to become dedicated and committed citizens who will in turn contribute to the family and society at large. Finally the President Rev. Fr. Vincent Furtado, Provincial Minister, Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka thanked all the Previous Capuchin Fathers viz., Fr.Theophilus, Joel, Arun, Martin and Staff members of the Organization for their altruistic service to the needy brethren. Ms. Mamatha Rai, education Coordinator organized will the entire programme and Ms. Rohini thanked all the guests and all audience present.
