St Clare school celebrated food festival on Saturday, 23rd March 2024. The
celebration began at 9 am with the arrival of chief guest Prof T Zarenthung
Ezung from the Department of Economics, Nagaland University. The students
standing in line welcomed the guest by clapping the hands. The chief guest
also was accompanied by his better half. The Anchors of the day were Lina
and Franklin. Fr Stephen in his welcome address beautifully explained the
significance of the day saying, "we the management of St Clare want that the
students not only get educated but also must learn to make a better living.
Selling and buying is one of the aspects of making a better living. Through
food festival students will learn to sell things, bargain and deal with the
customers. It will help them to open up themselves and relate to the people
around." On this occasion several group dances were presented from four
different houses namely Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. The chief guest of the
day explained the importance of the food and highly appreciated the
innovative thought of the management to teach children something new.
Immediately after the programme all the parents and students gathered near
the food stalls to buy the food items and play the games. More than 25 food
items and around 20 games were arranged to entertain the customers. More
than 100 Parents and around 300 students participated in this great
celebration. Thanks to all the teachers and students for all the
preparations. Indeed, it was a successful day.
