Inauguration and Blessing of ‘Yesu Nilaya’
Unless the Lord builds the house,
Those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. (Psalms 127.1)
The Lord has been indeed merciful to us as He assisted us in the completion
of yet another project named ‘Yesu Nilaya’ amidst the lush greenery of the
western Ghats along the National Highway leading to Mangalore from
Bangalore, in Palya Village, adjacent to Sakleshpur and Hassan.
The Friary was inaugurated Fr Laurenzo Motti, the Provincial Minister of
Emilia Romagna, Italy and blessed by Rt Rev. Dr T Anthonyswamy, the Bishop
of the Diocese of Chikkamagalur who also presided over the Thanksgiving
Eucharist in the new friary.
The gracious presence of the donors of the land Mr Siggismond Sequeira, Ms
Harriette Sequiera and also Br Paulo, the Provincial Councilor of the
Province of Emilia Romagna indeed was a joyful one.
Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais, our Provincial Minister, on behalf of all the friars
of the Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka, appreciated the hard work of the
friars and the personnel involved in the meticulous execution of the Project
and in a special way Mr Praveen Saldanha, the designer and the architect and
Mr Kumarswamy R, the contractor of the Project for accomplishing the task
beautifully.
The Province remains ever grateful to the generosity of the Minister General
and his Councilors, the Office of the Economic Solidarity for their love and
consideration towards our Province.
