Perpetual Profession of Three Capuchin Friars at Deena Seva Ashram,
Bangalore.
It was a great day of joy and celebration for the Capuchin friars of the
Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka as three of the brothers, Br Nithesh
Nazreth, Br Arogya Lawrence Xavier and Roshwin Lopes made their perpetual
profession on Thursday, 2 May 2024 at Deena Seva Ashram, Kengeri, Bangalore.
This Joyous Ocassion served as a testament to the enduring relevance of the
Capuchin Franciscan charism and the timeless ideals of poverty, chastity,
and obedience in today's world. The vows of their perpetual profession were
received by Fr John Alwyn Dias, the Provincial Minister of Karnataka
Province who presided over the Eucharistic celebration. A thought-provoking
homily was preached by Fr Robin Victor Dsouza, the Provincial Councillor. Fr
Denis Veigas, the Provincial Councillor and the Rector of Darshan Institute
of Theology presented these Friars to the Provincial Minister to receive
their vows.
The ceremony was solemnized by the presence of the Vicar Provincial Fr Paul
Melwyn DSouza, Provincial Councillor, Fr Vijay Kumar and many Capuchin
priests, Religious, parents, brothers and sisters, benefactors and near and
dear ones witnessed the ceremony of perpetual profession. After the Holy
Mass a short felicitation program was held where the perpetually Professed
Friars were felicitated along with their parents.
We Congratulate our brothers who committed themselves totally and
irrevocably to a life of poverty, chastity, and obedience, following in the
footsteps of Christ and St. Francis of Assisi our Father and Patron. We wish
them all the best as they perpetually embrace a life of simplicity,
humility, and selflessness, dedicated to serving God and their fellow human
beings.
