PRIESTLY ORDINATION OF BR MELROY PETER DSILVA, BRAHMAVAR, UDUPI
Br Melroy Peter DSilva was ordained to Priesthood by the Most Rev. Dr Gerald
Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese on Wednesday, 30 April 2025 at Holy
Family Church, Brahmavar, Udupi. In his homily, The Bishop encouraged the
Ordinandi to be a priest after the heart of Jesus. Quoting Catherine Hueck,
the Bishop said, “You (Priest) are God-with-us, chosen by him to guide, and
to show us how to love him and one another”. He called upon the Ordinandi to
be a man of Prayer, love and Service. After the Holy Eucharist Provincial
Minister Rev. Fr Robin Victor DSouza spoke words of appreciation and
thankfulness. The Celebration was attended by the Vicar Provincial – Fr Paul
Melwyn DSouza, Provincial Councillors, a good number of Capuchin Friars from
the Province and also the Priests, Religious and faithful. After the Mass a
short felicitation program was held where the newly ordained Friar was
felicitated. We congratulate our Fr Melroy Peter DSilva on his Priestly
Ordination and wish them all the best in their future ministry.
