Mothers’ Day Celebrated at St. Clare Church Akuluto
The faithful of St. Clare Church Akuluto joyfully celebrated Mothers’ Day on Sunday, May 10, 2026, with great devotion, gratitude, and community spirit. The celebration began with the Holy Mass at 9:00 AM.

During the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Stephen expressed heartfelt appreciation to all mothers for their unconditional love, sacrifices, and tireless dedication towards their families, the Church, and society. In his homily, he highlighted the important role mothers play in nurturing faith, values, and unity within the home and the Christian community. Fr. Stephen acknowledged the countless sacrifices mothers make every day with patience, care, and prayerful commitment. He encouraged the faithful to always respect, love, and support their mothers, recognizing them as precious gifts from God.

Following the Holy Mass, a special felicitation programme was organized in honor of all the mothers by the dads of the parish. The programme was led by Sir Vikram and Mr. Kughato Justin, who took the initiative to make the celebration meaningful and memorable anchored by Aboka and Kiboka the youth of the Church. Addressing the gathering, Sir Vikram beautifully explained the significance of Mothers’ Day and shared the history behind its origin. He spoke about the importance of honouring mothers for their endless love, care, and sacrifices, reminding everyone that mothers remain the backbone of every family and society. His inspiring words deeply touched the hearts of those gathered.

The dads of the parish expressed their gratitude to all mothers through words of appreciation and felicitation, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and thanksgiving. The celebration reflected the spirit of unity, respect, and love within the parish community. The programme concluded with happiness and fellowship as the parishioners joined together in honoring and celebrating the invaluable presence of mothers in their lives.
