The Capuchin Friars of Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka, joyfully
inaugurated and blessed St Anthony's Global Academy (SAGA), a prospective
CISCE school, on 30 May 2026 at the SAGA Campus, Bengaluru
The institution was formally inaugurated by Shri S. T. Somashekar, Member of
the Legislative Assembly, Yeshwanthpur Constituency. The academy was blessed
by and presided over by Rev. Fr Robin Victor Dsouza, OFM Cap, Provincial
Minister of Holy Trinity Province. Distinguished guests included Smt.
Sharada Muniraju M., Corporator, BBMP; Shri Jagadeesh N., Police Circle
Inspector, Kengeri; and Shri K. M. Siddaramu, President of the BDA Layout
Association.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the
Capuchin Friars in establishing an institution dedicated to academic
excellence, character formation, and social responsibility. They expressed
confidence that St Anthony's Global Academy would emerge as a center of
learning that nurtures young minds to become responsible citizens and
compassionate leaders.
Special recognition was accorded to Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dias and Rev. Fr. Vincent
Furtado, the Former Provincial Ministers. Rev. Fr Dr Charles J. P. Furtado,
OFM Cap, Executive Secretary of the Capuchin Education Board and Director of
St Anthony's Institutions, whose vision and leadership played a pivotal role
in bringing the project to fruition was also honored.
The event was attended by priests, religious, benefactors, parents,
well-wishers, and members of the local community. The inauguration concluded
with a prayer of thanksgiving and fellowship, marking the beginning of a
promising journey for St Anthony's Global Academy under its motto: "Educate
• Explore • Excel."
