PARENTS’ DAY 2023, IN ST CLARE SCHOOL AKULUTO - NAGALAND
St Clare celebrated Parents’ Day on 09th November 2023 at 9 am in St Clare High school Auditorium. The chief guest Fr Ashiko Abraham, Principal of St Peter’s School Atoizu was welcomed with the laud applause. The programme began with the invocation led by Rev Aboto Yeptho the Catechist of St Clare Church Akuluto. Several programmes were put up by the students on this occasion, namely Choreographies, Action songs, Mime show, Fashion Show, Fancy dress and so on. The attractions of day were the Drama ‘The Bishop’s Candlesticks’ and games for the Parents. Fr Ashiko Abraham in his address said “the work of the Parents is not just to send students to school but also to make sure whether they are getting benefitted from the education. Student’s first teacher is the Parent.” He also encouraged the students to come to the school, meet the principal often and appreciate the good initiatives that are taken by the school for the betterment of the students. He said, “growth and development take place in the school if the Parents support the school management board”.

Mr Vixshe Peter the advisory board member of the school speaking on behalf of all the Parents said, “We thank the Fathers for the contribution that is made to the society through the education ministry, as a parent it is our responsibility to encourage them.” Fr Stephen Dsouza, the Headmaster beautifully presented the Academic report of 2023 and plans for year 2024. He also appreciated the teachers for their hard work and support as well as thanked the Catholic Community for their help and encouragement. Aputo Chishi S/O Mr Iwoto Chishi was honored on this occasion, the topper of the School in HSLC 2022 exams with 80% results. Refreshments were served to the Parents and students during programme to relish the joy of the day. More than 200 parents partook in Parents’ Day celebration. Parents enjoyed the games that were conducted in the auditorium. The games included cock fight, breaking of balloons, Target shoot, blindfolded games and so on. The programme was concluded around 2 pm. On this joyous occasion, the advisory board members and teachers were served the sumptuous meal.
