VISITATION OF FR ALWYN
DIAS, THE PROVINCIAL MINISTER OF HOLY TRINITY PROVINCE, KARNATAKA TO
ST CLARE FRIARY AKULUTO – NAGALAND

St Clare School and Friary Akuluto was blessed to have Fr Alwyn Dias
The Provincial Minister of Holy Trinity Province Karnataka, Fr
Joywin Dias the Provincial Secretary and Fr Isaac Baptist Rodrigues
The Provincial Delegate of Infant Jesus Delegation on 28th and 29th
of November 2023. 28th November at 5.30 p.m. all of them reached
Akuluto. As they arrived the students of St Clare Hostel sang the
welcome song and on behalf of everyone, offered them the traditional
Naga mufflers. At 6 p.m. Provincial addressed the community members
namely Fr Stephen Dsouza the Superior, Fr James asst Headmaster and
Br Troyden, and asked them to reflect on 7 Pillars of our call,
charism, communion and Mission. Immediately after the reflection,
time was given to have a group discussion to find out the Strength,
weakness and our contribution in connection to the 7 Pillars.
During the meal Provincial and Provincial Secretary and Delegate
were offered bouquets and gifts as sign of warm welcome. On 29th
November during the mass, as it was the day of the remembrance of
8th Centenary of the Later Rule of our Seraphic Father of St
Francis, Fr Alwyn Dias preached on the rule of St Francis of Assisi
and asked everyone to give prominence to the love of Christ and the
Gospel. At the end of mass all the friars renewed their Vows which
they had professed during the first profession at Novitiate as well
as during the Final Profession. Thereafter, all proceeded to the
portico of the school for a group photo. At 8 a.m. the Catholic
community of St Clare Church came to honour Provincial for his
fraternal visit to Akuluto. Provincial also met all the three friars
of the community individually, appreciated the good work done for
the school, church and society and encouraged everyone to do better.
Provincial Secretary had a glance over all the documents and
Provincial looked into all the financial documents. There was a
common meeting held at 11.30 am to address some of the concerns that
were found in the documentations. All the friars had meal at 12.30
p.m., thereafter they proceeded to visit the Tamlu community.
