As Franciscans Capuchin it was our immense joy to celebrate the feast of our Patron St. Francis of Assisi on 4th October 2013. The festal mass was held at 11.00 am presided over by Most Reverend Dr. Bishop Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, the Bishop of Mysore, Monsignor Mari- Joseph, vicar General, Monsignor Desmond Rebello, Episcopal vicar for the religious, Fr. Santa Lopes, the Rector, Diocesan clergy and Religious fathers. The celebration was solemnized by the participation of the friends and benefactors of Capuchins. It was really a grand celebration. Most Reverend Dr. Bishop Thomas Antony Vazhapilly delivered an inspiring homily highlighting the virtues of St. Francis of Assisi. In his homily he said God gave an mission to St. Francis to “go and build my church” the same mission is given to each one of us to be true missionaries and visionaries to build that same church today. The angelic choir of brothers enriched the liturgy. Fr. Santa Lopes, the Rector thanked the assembly, specially Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly and other important quests.
