Community Picnic : Anugraha Ashram, Halbarga, Bidar
The friars of Anugraha Ashram, Halbarga, Bidar went for a community
picnic to Latur, Osmanabad, Killeri, Chakur & Hulsoor. Though we are in
Karnataka, the closest capuchin House for us is Latur of Maharashtra
Province (distant-wise: 114 kms. from Halabrga to Latur) and the second
closest is Hyderbad of Andhra Province (140 kms. from Bidar to
Hyderabad). The closest friary of Karnataka Province is in Potnal a
distance of 350 kms. In order to have a closer contact with the
capuchins, we organized a community tour to Latur and also to Osmanabad.
On the way we paid a visit to Killeri where the families of earthquake
of Latur are evacuated. The friars of Maharashtra province were very
cordial and took extra trouble to make us comfortable. We are grateful
to all of them.
