Birthday of our Provincial Minister at Saccidananda
On 17th October 2014, our provincial Minister Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy
Pais, celebrated his postponed birthday at Saccidananada. Though his
birthday falls on the 15th of October, due to his unforeseen and urgent
appointment, the community of Saccidananda had to postpone it on the
17th of October. Because of the availability of the Friars, the grand
celebration began at 7.00 p.m. with a meaningful prayer service for the
occasion conducted by Fr. Deepak Fernandes, around the floral decorated
alter, followed by a short felicitation program at the dining hall. Fr.
Joachim D’souza, guardian of the house welcomed the gathering and Fr.
Santa Lopes, Provincial Councilor raised the toast to honor Provincial
Minister. The beautiful Cake in the form of a Heart symbolizing the Love
and cooperation of the Friars to the Provincial Minister was cut by
Birthday Baby to mark this special occasion. Many of our Capuchin
brothers from neighboring communities along with some relatives of the
provincial minster were present. The sumptuous dinner prepared by Mr.
John D’souza, kengeri, relished and appreciated by our guest brothers
and sisters.
