Celebration of Mission Sunday at Saccidananda
As the Catholic Church celebrated the World Mission Sunday on the 19th
October 2014, the community of Saccidananda in view of raising funds
postponed it on the 02nd of November 2014. Since the 02nd of November
the Catholic Church celebrates the All Souls day, the Holy Eucharist was
celebrated of the day presided over by Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais, and
homily on Mission Sunday and its relevance was preached by Deacon
Brother Paul Karun Mascarenhas. Since the faithful were already reminded
and requested to bring few useful things to be put in the auction, there
were good many article such as Coconuts, wine bottles, homemade cakes
and pickles, shawls and maplars, chocolates brought by the people
themselves. Many people volunteered themselves to make this event
graceful and collected very good amount to help and to be part of the
missionary Church. We thank the faithful who shared their might with us
in raising funds, and we remain grateful to their generosity. We also
thanked the people who took the initiative to make this event
successful.
