Feast of St Francis of
Assisi, Kengeri.
The Annual Feast of St Francis of Assisi
parish, Kengeri was celebrated with great pomp and glory. As a spiritual
preparation for the feast three days novena to St Francis was held .Fr
Dolphy Pais the, provincial minister of the Holy Trinity Province
presiding over the festal celebration, preached a fitting homily and
administered the sacrament of communion to the children who received it
with devotion and reverence for the first time. Fr Salvador Fernades,
the rector of Dharshan Institute Of Theology conducted the choir for the
mass .The Parish Priest, Fr Satish Kumar felicitated the provincial
minister and thanked him for his presence and support, he later thanked
all those who helped in making the feast a grand success .Fr Provincial
expressed his appreciation and hailed the services of the Parish Priest
Later all the faithful were invited to partake in the fraternal meal in
the parish.
In the evening a colourful and prayerful car procession marked the
solemn conclusion to the festal day. A great number of faithful
including religious brothers and sisters took part witnessing Christ as
they sang hymns and prayed rosary. After the procession there was the
exposition of the blessed Sacrament as the sign for all the blessings
God had showered on the feast day and making the day a great success.
