The birthday bells chimed at Saccidananda
as we joyfully celebrated the birthday of Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais, the
Provincial Minister and thanked God for his person and his precious
life.
The celebration unwrapped with a Solemn Sunday Eucharist along with the
‘Saccidananda Extended Family’, presided over by the celebrant himself
after which the faithful partook in a sweet event of wishing Fr
Provincial a happy birthday and partaking in the delicious breakfast of
‘sanna-mass’.
In the evening the friars of the neighboring communities and guests
joined us to add fervor to the celebration. A meditative prayer service
was conducted by Fr Deepak Fernandes and Br Nelson, the scholastic.
At the dining hall Fr Anil Andrew Sequiera raised the toast without a
glass of wine, nonetheless, with a heart full of love. Fr Provincial
expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the community, his councilors and
to all the friars of the province. Fr Robin, the guardian thanked
everyone for making the day a memorable one.
The curtains dropped after the sumptuous homemade spread kept ready for
all the honored guests who savored every bit with a broad smile on their
faces.
