Solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi
October 04 The solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi our Father and Founder was
celebrated in a meaningful way. The solemn Eucharist was officiated by
Br. John Alwyn Dias, Provincial Minister of Holy Trinity Province,
Karnataka, who gave a momentous message, breaking the word of God to the
faithful who participated and witnessed the celebration in small number.
He too made mention of the new Encyclical of Pope Francis, “Fratelli
Tutti” “All Brothers” an address of St. Francis from the sixth
admonition of St. Francis “The Imitation of the Lord” . The central line
focused on translating our faith into concrete action to rebuild human
fraternity and restore care for creation with creative fidelity. After
the Holy Eucharist the faithful shared festal greetings with each other.
