Pastoral Visitation – Holy Family Friary/Church, Brahmavar, Udupi
The pastoral visitation of the fraternity - Holy Family Friary/Church,
Brahmavar, Udupi was held on 02nd – 03rd of October, 2021. The Guardian,
Br Victor Fernandes, Br Dominic Savio, Br Arthur, Br Joslie and Br
Prakash welcomed Br John Alwyn Dias, Provincial Minister along with and
Br Elvin Lopes, Provincial Secretary. The Visitation began with the
introductory talk by Provincial followed by personal meetings of the
friars. He visited Karunalaya Ashram, Home for the aged and the Convent
of the Sisters of Charity. He also joined the parish community for the
evening Rosary. Thereafter he joined the Parish Council meeting wherein
he encouraged the Council to work to foster the faith in the families,
work for unity and involve themselves wholeheartedly in all the
activities of the Church. He then had a community dialogue after the
evening supper. He celebrated the Sunday Holy Eucharist on 03rd October
2021 the feast of St Francis of Assisi was observed. He prayed for all
the parishioners, the Parish Priest, the friars of the community, all
the religious who render services in the parish and for all the
parishioners. The visitation was concluded with benediction and sharing
the festal wishes.
