Transitus - 3rd October 2021
The ceremony of Transitus was celebrated at Darshan Institute of
Theology on the evening of 3drd of October 2020. With a prayerful
ambience we paid homage to our seraphic father St. Francis of Assisi
recollecting his last moments on earth. The enactment of Transitus was
done in a Pandemic Scenario as a tribute to the millions of people who
lost their lives due to the Pandemic, especially the Friars of our own
Franciscan Family. The enactment of Transitus was directed by Br. Melroy
D’Silva and the brothers under the guidance of the Rector, Fr. Salvador
Fernandes, acted out prayerfully. Dn. Hubert preached a meaningful
homily on this occasion and blessed the bread. We were joined by our own
friars from various communities, the neighbouring religious communities
and some of our parishioners. At the end with lighted candles we
venerated the relic of St. Francis.
