Festal Celebration of the Nativity
of Blessed Virgin Mary @ Saccidananda, Provincialate
The feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary at Saccidananda,
Capuchin Provincialate was celebrated in great grandeur. Before the
festive celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the Saccidananda extended
family gathered before the Grotto of Mother Mary for the veneration
of Monthi Saibeen. It was followed by the solemn Eucharist
celebrated by Fr Maxim D’Silva, who preached a meaningful homily
centering on the greatest contribution of Mother Mary to the
Salvation of us all. He prayed for all the Girl-children and for the
new fruits of human labour, the new corn. The corn that was blessed
was distributed after the Mass. In the eve, a family meal was
organized voluntarily offering special veggies-items from families
who gathered to share the joy of the Monthi-fest in a traditional
manner. It was a great event of joy, sharing and gathering after a
lapse of time. May our Mother Mary send down the blessings on each one of us!
