Guardians’ Meeting and Treasurers’
Meeting at Shanthi Sadhana, FISI, Bangalore
The Guardians’ Meeting was held on 30th September 2022 from 3:00 pm
at Shanthi Sadhana, Kengeri, FISI Bangalore. The meeting began with
prayer and welcome note. Guardians had fraternal sharing about their
respective communities along with the challenges they face. The long
standing missionaries and pioneers of few of the centers in
North-East India, Br Richard D’Souza and Br Mathias Dias were
felicitated. A fraternal welcome was extended to Very Rev. Fr John
Baptist Palliparambil, General Councillor for the Pastoral
Visitation of the Province on behalf of General Minister Very Rev.
Br Roberto Genuin, Rome. Thereafter agenda points were discussed. On
Saturday 01st October 2022 Treasurers’ Meeting was held from 9:00
am. Very Rev. Dr. Fr Jossie Lobo SJ gave input session on the
Challenges of Religious life in today’s society. After this session
Fr John Baptist Palliparambil, General Councillor addressed all the
Guardians and Treasurers who spoke the mind of the General Minister
and touched upon concerns of Spiritual animation, fraternal life and
practical points for living the call. Thereafter Release of the Book
of Rev. Dr. Fr Denis Veigas, with the title, ‘Graduality in truth in
the light of St Augustine’s of Vera religione (On True Religion) was
carried out in the presence of the General Councillor, Br John
Baptist, Provincial Minister, Br John Alwyn Dias, and Provincial
Councillors. It was compared by Br Rocky D’Cunha. In the afternoon,
Br Vijesh Loyed Menezes, the Provincial Treasurer briefed about the
financial status of the Province and chalked out guidelines to be
followed in compliance with the norms of the land. Few points of the
agenda were the discussed and with concluding note by Provincial
Minister the meeting ended with prayer. Br Amar gave vote of thanks
note and acknowledged the services of everyone. May God bless the
mission and services carried out in and around the world especially
for the needy humanity even in remotest villages.
